Welcome. This guide walks you through what to do in your first week on CampusPlugin — from the moment you click the invitation link to applying to your first drive.
Step 1 — Sign up
- Click the invitation link in the email from your TPO. The link is valid for 7 days and can only be used once.
- Sign in with your institutional email + a password you choose. The password must be at least 12 characters.
- Set up MFA (we recommend Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator). For institutional accounts MFA is encouraged but not mandatory.
- Review the consent screen: which scopes you’re granting (profile sharing with your institution, resume sharing with employers when you apply, analytics for improving the platform). Untick anything you don’t want.
Step 2 — Complete your profile
- Personal: name, contact, address (used only for offer logistics).
- Academic: your institution, programme, semester, marks. If your institution uploaded your details, these are pre-filled — verify and update.
- Career wallet: resume, skills, certifications, projects. Use the import-from-LinkedIn option if you have a LinkedIn account.
- Sensitive data (optional): disability status (for accommodations), financial aid (for scholarship-aware filtering). Both require explicit consent under DPDPA section 9.
Step 3 — Pass the readiness gate
- Your institution sets a readiness bar — typically profile-completion > 90%, at least one verified skill, and at least one mock-interview score.
- Your dashboard shows your current status against the gate. The “What’s next” tile suggests the highest-impact next step.
- Verified skills come from the Skills tab → take the assessment for any skill on your profile. The score becomes part of your readiness.
- Mock interviews: AI-driven first round + human-feedback follow-up. Either or both contribute to readiness.
Step 4 — See what employers see
- Once you pass the readiness gate, you become employer-visible — but only for drives you apply to OR drives your institution shortlists you for.
- The “Preview as employer” tool shows your profile from an employer’s angle. Use it to spot weak areas.
- You can hide specific fields from specific employers via Settings → Privacy → Per- employer visibility.
Step 5 — Apply to drives
- Browse open drives in the Jobs tab. Filtered to drives you’re eligible for and your institution has approved.
- One-tap apply if your profile is complete. The employer sees your profile + any additional data the drive requires (e.g. CGPA cut-off).
- Track your applications in My Applications. Status moves through applied → shortlisted → interviewed → offered → joined.
- Notifications: in-app + email + (optional) WhatsApp Business for shortlist + offer alerts.
Step 6 — Manage your consent
- Settings → Privacy → Active consents. See every scope you’ve granted and which employer / institution has access.
- Revoke any scope at any time. The employer’s access is removed immediately.
- For data already exported: you can request deletion under DPDPA section 12 via the “Request data deletion” button.
- Export your own data any time. Settings → Privacy → Export — we generate a machine-readable archive within 24 hours.
Step 7 — Offer + joining
- Offers arrive in My Applications. Review the offer letter, CTC, role, location, and joining date.
- Accept / decline / counter in-app. Counter-offers go back to the employer with your notes.
- Once accepted, mark joining on your Day 1. We ping you on Day-30 and Day-180 for a quick retention check (helps your institution’s placement reporting).
Troubleshooting
- Invitation link expired— ask your TPO to re-send. Each new invite replaces the old one.
- Can’t pass the readiness gate— check the dashboard “What’s next” tile. It tells you the single highest-impact step.
- Drive not showing up— check eligibility (branch, year, CGPA), check your consent for “share resume with employers” is active, check the drive hasn’t closed.
- Want to delete your account— Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Your data is anonymised within 30 days, subject to academic retention windows.
